The Tamilnadu Prevention and Control of Water Pollution Board was constituted by the Government of Tamilnadu in pursuance of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
Any enterprise or business doing any commercial activities in Tamil Nadu is required to obtain prior permission from the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board so as to ensure that it acts in accordance with regulations set up by the Tamil nadu Pollution Control Board.

TNPCB Consent To Establish / Consent To Operate

Any business would need to get consent to operate (CTO) and Consent to Establish (CTE). Upon the consent get expired, it is mandatory to renew the consent to operate from Pollution Control Board so as to ensure that Business is operating as per the set standards. The manufacturer has to go to get pollution Certificate in order to secure this form of consent to operate.
