Applicants seeking a license to manufacture weights and measures must complete and submit Form LM-1.
Upon submission, the District Nodal Officer will direct the application to the relevant Local Inspector (Legal Metrology Officer) based on the firm's location.
The Local Inspector will conduct an inspection of the proposed premises and review the essential documents.
Assessing the manufacturing capability and capacity, the Local Inspector will prepare a detailed report and recommendations for submission to the Controller (Licensing Authority) through Divisional Assistant Controllers along with the application.
Assistant Controllers will thoroughly review the application, Local Inspector's reports, and associated documents before forwarding them, along with their recommendations, to the Controller.
Any queries or objections raised by the Local Inspector, Assistant Controller, or Controller will be communicated to the applicant for necessary action.
If the Controller deems the application suitable for granting a license, the applicant will be requested to deposit a Rs. 500 License fee into the designated Head of Accounts.
Upon receipt of the fee and a copy thereof in the Controller's office, the license will be issued in the prescribed format.

Partnership Deed (if applicable).
